Individual Psychotherapy

How can psychotherapy help you?  If you feel depressed and overwhelmed, or anxious and unmotivated, worried or having problems at work, school or relations it is time to get help. This help should not only be from a friend or family member but from a professional psychotherapist who can be non-judgmental, knowledgeable and understanding about psychological issues.

Individual therapy is a reliable and established technique, proved to relief stress, decrease anxiety and depression. There are many schools of psychotherapy but the most important predictor of success is a trusting relation with the therapist. The length of treatment as well as the frequency will vary depending on the goals that you have and how entrenched the difficulties are. At times, psychotherapy is used jointly with medication and we will discuss whether medication is necessary. Most of my clients rely on psychotherapy alone.

My aim is to help you learn healthier ways of dealing with difficult situations, to understand the sources of your anxiety and depression (current or stemming from past experiences in your life), to deal with life challenges with a positive outlook.

I am very happy that many of my clients were able, during the therapy process, to modify behaviors that were detrimental to a satisfactory and self-fulfilling life.
